ACT provides many services directly related to the concrete industry. Owner, Terry Waschke has over 30 years experience in production, placing, and quality control of concrete. His comprehensive knowledge of concrete placing comes from his many years of operating concrete boom and line pumps, and pouring into crane buckets and trimmie lines. His production experience comes from 20+ years batching and managing computer-controlled dry-batch and central-mix concrete plants in Anchorage, and using potable batch plants and a volumetric mixer for producing concrete in remote areas around the state.
Concrete produced for Anchorage projects included high-volume airport hardstands, 4000 yard continuous-pour high-rise building anchors, high performance silica fume bridge deck overlays, and shotcrete for tunnels containing silica fume, steel fibers and plasticizers.
ACT recognizes that quality control is extremely important for consistent test results in concrete and more so with specialty mixes and high strength concrete. Terry works closely with test labs to develop mix designs and uses his own concrete testing equipment on remote projects to provide reliable results.
